The intention of this session is to create a research agenda that is truly adventurous and represents the major current and anticipated future trends in the world around us. We want to look beyond the needs of coaches, mentors, and supervisors to those of the clients and other stakeholders we serve and the impact coaching can have on major challenges such as the global leadership vacuum, poverty, diversity, climate, and societal change. Needs based high quality, evidence-based research will enable our community to stay relevant, innovate with confidence, and build trust with clients.
Above all, we want to ensure that EMCC Global, through its research, remains relevant and vital to the evolving world we serve. We must demonstrate that we have a significant and substantial offering for EMCC Globalto truly live the vision of being the ‘go to’ body in mentoring, coaching, and supervision globally for the benefit of society.
This session is a unique opportunity to participate in a dynamic and highly interactive session, contribute your views, and learn from others about clients’ emerging needs and ensure EMCC Global research keeps pace and ahead of the changing needs of clients.
Professor David Clutterbuck is one of the world’s most respected writers and thinkers on leadership, coaching, and mentoring. He’s the author of more than 70 books and regarded as a leading global authority on coaching and mentoring. Professor Clutterbuck is a visiting professor to the coaching and mentoring faculties of Henley Business School, Oxford Brookes University, Sheffield Hallam University, and York St John. He works across the world stimulating top teams to become role models for learning and to examine how they can raise their collective performance, and brings a wealth of practical experience and leading edge research to developing leaders at the top. He has coached and consulted widely in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. He originally brought the concept of structured mentoring to Europe in the late 1970’s and has developed an international reputation for his mentoring programme design and support, helping hundreds of companies, voluntary bodies and government agencies around the world create sustainable mentoring programmes David is a founder and life-time Special Ambassador for EMCC Global and is an EMCC individually accredited coach/mentor (EIA) at Master Practitioner level and an EMCC individually accredited coach/mentor supervisor (ESIA).
Alison Mitchell is Consultant, Executive Coach, and Director of Inclusive Development at University of Lincoln (UK) with international expertise in research capacity building through inclusive leadership development and realising the potential of researchers for research, economic, and social impact. Alison has worked at senior level with a wide spectrum of education, business and government agencies, with an enduring commitment to enhancing opportunities for all through education, research, science and innovation. Alison is the Head of Research for EMCC Global.
Dr Lise Lewis integrated coaching with mentoring following a career in human resources and loves the learning and transformation that working with others achieves. Combining joyful family time with walking Charlie a winsome Cavachon, She also relishes fun with friends and keeps active – physically as opposed to busy! – with tap dancing, cycling and samba drumming – when she’s ‘in town’!. Lise was EMCC Global President for six years from 2011-2017 and is now an EMCC Global Special Ambassador. She is an EMCC Global individually accredited coach/mentor (EIA) at Master Practitioner level and an EMCC accredited individual coach/mentor supervisor (ESIA).
