Recent searches on Google on Coaching Presence bring up more than 70 million articles with themes emerging on what it means to demonstrate coaching presence. Terms such as being present and flexible, mindful, empathetic, calm, zestful, fun and courageous, trusting intuition, being open to not knowing abound. Yet how is research informing this important practitioner experience? In this session you will have the opportunity to

  1. Reframe your understanding of presence, based on a ground-breaking research project
  2. Recalibrate your practice as we share some challenges to what the role of presence is found to be in the client relationship
  3. Reflective space for sense making about what these challenges mean for your practice in the future

We invite you to reflect with us how our experiential learning in the coaching presence research project led us to rethink our practice. This session will evoke new ways of making sense of presence: a) through our shared experience, b) facts based on the research, and c) your experience as we will invite you to some experiential learning moment.  We are curious how redesigning presence will resonate for you as we unfold its challenges and surprises in mutual reflection.
